Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965), is an American actress. Her most prominent part is as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. The series ended following the seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show as Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), who was a speech instructor and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English heritage. Sedgwick has declared publicly her Jewish roots and stated that she participates in Passover seders.
