Jennifer Rene Psaki

 Jennifer Rene Psaki, an American political advisor, served as the 34th White House Press Secretary from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011), spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015, and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's politics coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career in the 2001 re-election campaign in Iowa of Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack, both Democrats for the U.S. Senate. Psaki was later appointed deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Between 2005 and 2006, Psaki served as communications director to U.S. representative Joseph Crowley and regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was back in the political arena in 2012 and was the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 campaign. 20 February 2013 Psaki became the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. [20] There was speculation she was to replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. She was named communications director in the White House and continued to perform this role until the end of the year in 2015.
